WINTER TIME IN IDAHO (NOV 18 – FEB 21)
Picturesque. A word which describes the serenity of Idaho. Allow the evening’s star-filled night sky to accompany you during a riverside hot springs soak or illuminate the snowshoe trails. Sweeping views are sprinkled across the state awaiting you.
SPRING TIME IN IDAHO (FEB 22 – JUN 14)
Spring in Boise starts to make its appearance mid-March. We’re often lured into the beauty of Idaho’s springtime early, often early April, with temperatures climbing into the 80s. It’s difficult to avoid the desire to begin sprucing up the yard or plating in the garden, but as quickly as the reprieve from winter appears the cold weather is likely to rear its head again before settling in to a more consistent and steady climb in temperature. It’s a safer bet to wait until the start of May for planting.
SUMMER TIME IN BOISE (JUN 15 – SEP 11)
Summers in Boise can be HOT! Boise is accustomed to triple digits, often for weeks at a time. Boiseans are prepared though, usually endless lines of vehicles are found streaming toward Lucky Peak Reservoir, Sun Valley or McCall seeking reprieve from the summer heat. Whether you stay in town or desire solace elsewhere the enjoyment of cool summer nights can always be counted upon in Idaho.
FALL TIME IN IDAHO (SEP 12 – NOV 17)
Crisp days and cool nights can be felt during mid to late September in Boise, but the first freeze often isn’t until mid November. Few places exist to rival fall leaves in Boise. The enormity of the trees interspersed throughout frequently visited neighborhoods and parts of town (Harrison Boulevard, Hyde Park, Warm Springs Avenue, Boise Green Belt) provide the perfect backdrop to take a stroll while enjoying all The City of Trees offers.
